AAIA 33rd Annual Conference - A HYBRID Event

Sunday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 24, 2023


Join us to engage with fellow airport audit professionals, exchange best practices, and sharpen your skills!

The conference will be held at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City and will be a hybrid event offering both in-person and virtual learning platforms.

Virtual attendees will receive the same great training as in-person attendees and will also be provided several networking opportunities such as member introductions, group sharing, and interactive chat during sessions.

    • Up to 18 hours of NASBA approved Continuing Professional Education (CPEs) credits
    • Approximately $52 per CPE hour for AAIA Members registering early

  • Planned Events included with registration fees for in-person attendees:
    • Welcome Reception,
    • Monday Night Networking Event, and
    • Tuesday Night Networking Dinner. 
      • Guests are invited to attend for an additional fee.
  • There is an Optional Sunday Workshop with an additional 4 CPE hours for in-person attendees.  It will be held in the Olympus Ballroom on the 2nd Floor at the Little America Hotel.

In-Person or Virtual = Same Great Price


In line with our commitment to inclusivity, we are dedicated to making the AAIA 33rd Annual Conference as accessible as possible while also providing you an immersive experience, no matter how you choose to participate.

That is why the registration fee is the same for both virtual and in-person attendees.

Our reasoning is based on three priorities for our members:  Engagement, Flexibility, and Value:


  • Engagement:  The AAIA is making a significant investment in technology to bring attendees together in an inviting hybrid environment to ensure all participants are engaged during every session. All attendees will have full access to view the presenters and on-screen presentations and ask questions during every educational session.


  • Flexibility:  We understand some members are not ready to travel or participate in group events.  


  • Value: We realize that some training budgets are still recovering from the past few years.  If travel costs aren't feasible for your organization, attend the conference virtually!

Please note you are considered fully registered only when payment (Check or Credit Card) has been received and you have completed the registration online by May 5, 2023 and payment received by May 12, 2023.  For early bird registration, need to complete the registration online by April 20, 2023 and payment received by April 27. 2023.   You will be able to make a credit card payment at the time of registration.

If you wish to pay by check, please complete the registration online. An invoice will be emailed with your registration confirmation. Checks should be made out to the Association of Airport Internal Auditors and mailed to: 




Attending In-Person?

  • Hotel Accommodations:  The Little America Hotel is located at 500 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Cutoff date for guaranteed hotel rates ended April 20, 2023.


  • Registration check-in will be in the Cheyenne Room on the first floor of the Little America Hotel on Sunday, May 21 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, May 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.


  • The rates below were offered to in-person attendees that made reservations on or before April 20, 2023.
    • Hotel room rate was $209 + tax (currently 13.82% and subject to change) for single or double occupancy. Each additional occupant was subject to an additional $20.00 fee per night.
    • There were a limited number of rooms at the room rate of $179 + tax.  These rooms are in a separate building from the conference rooms and have an outside entrance to the building.  
    • Parking: Self park is at a rate of $15 per night + tax; Valet is $20 per night + tax.
    • Check-in time: 3:00 p.m. and Check-out time: 11:00 a.m. 
    • The confirmed room rates were available to attendees three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the conference, and were subject to availability


  • The link below can be used to make reservations but are subject to availability and market pricing.   In-person attendees that have not made reservations, may need to find a room at a different property.

Attending Virtually?


Links to the Conference will be sent to your email each day, beginning Monday, May 22nd to better manage the CPE credits earned.

Access to presentations, handouts, and other materials?

All conference registrants that are AAIA members (virtual and in-person) will be able to access conference materials through their Event module found on the Airport-Auditors.com website. 

After logging in and going to your "Member's Portal", select "Events" then select "Prior Event Registrations".  Select the calendar icon to the far right of the 33rd AAIA Conference Registration - Hybrid."  It will open the portal and provide you with the slide decks, attendees and your registration information.  Here are Event Portal instructions with screenshots or you can watch this QUICK VIDEO.

Non-members will be sent a link to Box.com hosted by Tampa International Airport.  You can use your email as a guest to access the slide decks.

Guest Registration

Evening Networking Events - Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday

For in-person attendees, your guests can join you at the:

  • Sunday Night Welcome Reception ($50/guest),
  • Monday Night Networking Event ($50/guest) (must be 21 years or older), and/or the
  • Tuesday Night Networking Dinner ($100/guest).

The guest fee for attending all three events is discounted to $175/person.

Children aged 4-20 will receive a 15% discount.  Under 4 years of age are free to attend.

Needed to register by May 5, 2023 and pay by May 12, 2023.  Venues are subject to change.
