Conferences & Events

The Association of Airport Internal Auditors (AAIA) had its first conference in 1990 in Orlando, Florida, and, through 2019, hosted 30 consecutive conferences that have met the needs and interests of Airport Internal Auditors. Then the COVID-19 Pandemic struck and the 31^st Annual Conference was rescheduled from June 2020 to September 2021 in Clearwater, Florida, and was hosted by Tampa International Airport. Most recently, the 34thAnnual Conference was held during June 2024. The conference was hosted by San Antonio International Airport, in San Antonio Texas.

The 35th AAIA Annual Conference will be hosted by the Denver International Airport in Denver, Colorado.

AAIA Virtual Roundtable

You can engage with fellow AAIA members to ask, share, and learn in a lively on-line discussion platform while earning NASBA approved CPE credit - for free! The most recent AAIA Virtual Forum was held on September 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. EST with attendees earning up to 1.5 CPE. It was a panel discussion with a focus on Airport parking. Three moderators facilitated the discussion around participant questions, as well as shared parking audit strategies, tips, and how-to's.

Beginning in December 2020, the AAIA began offering Virtual Roundtable calls with NASBA approved CPE credits. It was determined to change the name of the virtual forum calls to Virtual Roundtable to minimize confusion with the Forum message board.

Going Forward

We are pleased so many were able to attend the 34th Annual AAIA Conference and look forward to the upcoming conference.
