Navigating Coronavirus-Related Funding for Airports - Members-Only Webinar

Thank you Pamela Hill and Erika Stanley of  Plante Moran and Callie Ullman of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and the AAIA for co-presenting this valuable members-only webinar:  Navigating Coronavirus-Related Funding for Airports.

This training session discussed how airports accepting Coronavirus funds can comply with the following:

  • CARES Act:  Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act;
  • CRRSA Act: Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act; and,
  • ARP Act: The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

They first provided the perspective of what external auditors will be looking for from these funding sources followed by what airport internal auditors should do to ensure their airports have met the requirements of each grant program.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the webinar, participants were able to understand:

  • The basics regarding these government funding programs;
  • What questions to expect from external auditors about the funding your airport received;
  • The compliance requirements for the use of funds from each Act; and,
  • How Airport Internal Auditors can add value by ensuring their airports comply with the requirements of each grant program.
The webinar was held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. EST and was not recorded.
